I really harbour the belief that the photoshoot should be just as memorable an experience as the end product– the photos themselves.
During your shoot, I will prompt you to be your most authentic self, by encouraging movement + lively interaction with your environment, because this is when you are most genuine.
Are you a couple? Demonstrating laughter and affection is paramount to the quality of the session and your satisfaction with the end result! Are you a family? Let the quirks show up sporadically throughout the session. If your kiddos for example, are engaged in excessive play, then let’s capture them playing during the session. Let’s not ask them to settle down! This is actually to your advantage, because in these instances, your images will tell your genuine family story.
Most people fear they will feel awkward in front of the lens. They assume that a photoshoot is a performance or an opportunity to pose and impress an audience. From my point of view, it is an adventure, a date, an opportunity to actually live your story while having me capture it!

Frequently Asked Questions
How long in advance should I book my photoshoot?
Pebble & Stone requires a minimum of one month’s advance notice for booking photoshoots. This allows time for a consultation where I get to know your story, relationship dynamics, possibly your home, and together we will decide how to capture them. This also allows for ample notice for possbile cancellations or rescheduling, which can often occur for clients with memberships. As a luxury photography service, we want to provide you with the most seamless and restful photographing experience, and do require a structured booking process.
What if I feel awkward in front of the lens?
This is where I come in. I will coach you through the entire process, suggesting poses and prompts that result in comfort and belly-aching laughter. As a lifestyle photographer, my aim is to create real moments, frozen in time with the click of my shutter. Just relax and be your authentic self. Loosening up with fluid movement and a flexible sense of humour aid me in determining what flatters your body and shows personality in the photos, which is what we are going for in the first place.
How Long Do Sessions Last?
Sessions with Pebble & Stone can average between 1-2 hours depending on the size of your family, the size of the venue and the time required to check in and get situated. The best advice is to come prepared to move throughout the venue, and readjust depending on the postion of the sun and the poses that most flatter your family. In-home sesssions require a minimum of 2 hours for styling and acommodating children. It is our pleausre to facilitate a session that relaxes you, inspires you while elevating and enhancing the quality of your relationships, both before the lens and in private.
